THE WRITERS

Michael & Judy Phillips

Enjoying over fifty years of marriage, thirty-five of those operating their One Way Book Shops, Michael and Judy Phillips have led an eventful and fruitful life together.

Michael’s more than a hundred published books of both fiction and non-fiction, many of them best-sellers, are evidence of his dedication as a gifted storyteller and communicator of God’s truths.

Though she has been a full partner in their writing ministry, helping brainstorm and proofread most of her husband’s books and answering the voluminous mail that comes to them, Judy’s deepest lifelong love is for music. She has lived her special passion for the harp as symphony harpist, a harp teacher of thirty years, and in the autumn years of her life as a therapeutic musician in hospitals and musical facilities. It is a calling to which she feels her prior experience was preparing her all along.

Now in their mid-seventies and looking ahead, Michael and Judy are committed to preserving the perspectives of the Christian life communicated in their books. They are resolute that those truths continue influencing lives, turning hearts to the Fatherhood of mankind’s infinitely loving God. Recognizing the imperative of this vision, and the necessity that Michael’s writings remain available long into the future, they have enlisted the help of a small team of loyal friends to work with their sons in carrying on their writing and publishing ministry.

Michael and Judy are especially privileged to be joined by their Publishing Assistant Joseph Dindinger—whose Wise Path Books is now continuing the Sunrise Centenary Series of George MacDonald’s works and co-publish the Cullen Collection series—and their Legacy Advocate Aaress Lawless—who, Michael says, probably has the largest collection of his books in the world and has spearheaded the development of this website.

Both are dedicated to working with the Phillips, as “curators of the collection,” keeping Michael busy at his computer writing more books, and insuring that his writings remain available for many years to come.

For Joseph and Aaress, and for the many friends and readers the world over who have encouraged them in their work and writing ministry through the years, Michael and Judy are truly blessed and deeply grateful.
